Wetton and Back of Ecton Parish Council consists of five members.

The Chairman and Vice Chairman may change during the term of office of the parish council members. There is currently one casual vacancy for the parish council.
Wetton and Back of Ecton Parish Council members have an overall responsibility for the wellbeing of the local neighbourhood. Their work falls into three main categories:
- Representing the local community
- Delivering services to meet local needs
- Striving to improve the quality of life in the local area
