The parish annual meeting of Wetton and Back of Ecton was held on Wednesday, 13th May 2026 at 7.15 pm in Wetton Village Hall.
Present: Mrs J Melville, Mr T Heaney, Mrs D Noble, Mrs L Powis, Mr P Vibert (Members of Wetton and Back of Ecton Parish Council), Mrs S Hampson (Clerk to Wetton and Back of Ecton Parish Council) and two members of the public.

As the retiring chair person of Wetton and Back of Ecton Parish Council, Mrs J Melville provided a report of parish matters occurring during the previous year. (See separate report). - Public speaking on matters not covered by the following agenda for the parish council.
A member of the public attended for opinions on the best use of a sum of money left from the former Wetton History Group which is no longer a viable group. The sum concerned is £177. The gentleman suggested gifting the monies to the Wetton gardening group so that the money went from one village group to another. The monies are not connected to the parish council.
It was also reported that the village hall members have found some history group photographs. The member of the public advised that he has digital copies of history group information and photographs.
The members of the parish council and public considered a suitable use of the monies.
Resolved: the redundant history group funds to be donated to the Wetton village gardening group.
The parish annual meeting was declared closed and followed by the annual parish council meeting at 7.30 pm.
